Our educational programs at Luma Learning Center were created with our children’s needs in mind: to mature and develop in a safe yet stimulating environment. Take a look below to learn more about each program.
Welcome to Luma Learning Center
Infants
Infancy is a tender, remarkable time of growth and development in a child’s life. At Luma Learning Center, our infant program, emphasis is placed on the child’s physical needs, such as feeding and diapering, as well as interpersonal interaction. Each infant classroom is designed to develop physical, emotional, social and cognitive skills for babies between the ages of six weeks and twelve months.
Pre-K
Luma Learning Center prepares your child for kindergarten.
Enrolling them in a quality pre-k program is one of the best things you can do. Our program aims to give young children the skills they need to be “ready to learn” when they start kindergarten. Children who participate in quality pre-k programs are more likely to excel in language, reasoning, problem solving, social skills, behavior and emotional health.
After School
Luma Learning Center is helping our young achieve more by incorporating the goal of S.T.E.A.M projects in our after school program curriculums.
S.T.E.A.M. stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math. By teaching these topics in an integrated and engaging way we are better preparing our students for success in school and in their future careers.
Friendship Garden
Luma Learning Center, we are investing in a school garden. This is one of the best ways to get children excited about healthy eating and where their food comes from. With the supervision from teachers and other adults, this can provide an opportunity for students to develop leadership skills and learn about project management.
Our Approach
We provide a wide range of early childhood education and care, from full-time care to part-time options for working families. Our program is designed to meet the needs of children of all ages, and we offer a variety of services to ensure that every child can thrive.
We are a community-based organization, committed to supporting and connecting families in our local area. We believe that strong ties between parents and caregivers form the foundation for a healthy child, and we work hard to build these relationships through our programs and services.
